Chasing 256, New Zealand lost Finn Allen early to Axar Patel. Jasprit Bumrah removed Rachin Ravindra with his first ball—Ishan Kishan taking a spectacular catch. Axar then castled Glenn Phillips, and Hardik Pandya sent Mark Chapman back. Tim Seifert (52 off 26) briefly threatened, but Varun Chakravarthy had him caught at deep midwicket. Daryl Mitchell fell to Axar for 17.
Then came Bumrah. In the 16th over, he cleaned up James Neesham with a dipping yorker, and on the very next ball sent Matt Henry back for a golden duck—Bumrah on a hat-trick. Mitchell Santner (43 off 35) delayed the inevitable with Lockie Ferguson, but Bumrah returned to castle Santner in the 18th over. Abhishek Sharma then took the final wicket, Jacob Duffy caught by Tilak Varma. New Zealand all out for 159 in 18.6 overs. India had done it.
