The pair put on 84 runs in the powerplay\u2014the highest powerplay score in a T20 World Cup knockout match, surpassing England&#8217;s 67\/0 in 2016. <br>It was also New Zealand&#8217;s second-highest powerplay total in Men&#8217;s T20 World Cup history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Allen reached his fifty off just 19 balls\u2014the fastest fifty by a New Zealand batter in T20 World Cup history, beating Glenn Phillips&#8217; previous 22-ball record. <br>He then brought up his hundred in 33 balls, eclipsing Chris Gayle&#8217;s 47-ball century in 2016 to set a new T20 World Cup record. Allen finished unbeaten on 100 off 33 deliveries, with 10 fours and 8 sixes, at a strike rate of 303.03.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tim Seifert contributed 58 off 33 balls (7 fours, 2 sixes) before falling to Kagiso Rabada.
